Stonewell Technologies
Privacy Policy
Effective date: January 1, 2026
1. Scope of This Policy
Stonewell Technologies is a sole proprietorship based in India. In this Privacy Policy, “Stonewell,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Stonewell Technologies and its proprietor. We are committed to protecting personal information.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Stonewell website, account and authentication services at auth.stonewell.in, Z-Matrix at www.zmatrix.app, and other Stonewell software products, websites, and services that link to this Policy (collectively, the “Services”). It explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit our websites, create or use an account, use the Services, or contact us.
2. Information We Collect
We may collect information you provide when you create or manage an account, including your email address and password hash. We may also collect information you provide in messages, support requests, forms, or while using a Stonewell product.
When you use Z-Matrix or another Stonewell product, we may collect and store content that you enter, submit, or manage through that product. For Z-Matrix, this may include decision matrices, item names or descriptions, criteria, weights, scores, notes, and related content. Please do not enter sensitive personal information, passwords, government identification numbers, financial account information, health information, or other information that is not necessary for your use of a Service.
When you access the Services, we may automatically collect technical and usage information, including your IP address, browser type, device information, pages or features used, referring website, login and security events, and the date and time of your activity. We may also collect information from cookies, session technologies, and similar technologies.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to create and manage accounts, authenticate users, provide access to the Services, store and display user-created content, send account and security communications, respond to inquiries, provide support, operate and improve the Services, detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized access, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information for money or use it for targeted advertising. We do not currently send promotional marketing communications. If these practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any notices or choices required by applicable law.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain sessions, support account authentication, protect the Services, remember preferences, and understand use of the Services. Some of these technologies are essential to the operation of the Services. We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics tools. You can manage certain cookies through your browser settings, but disabling essential technologies may prevent you from signing in or using some features.
5. Information Shared Between Stonewell Services and Providers
We may share account information between Stonewell Services, including our website, account services, Z-Matrix, and future Stonewell applications, to provide account creation, authentication, account management, and authorized access across those Services.
Our Services are currently hosted on infrastructure provided by Hostinger. Stonewell operates and manages certain software and services on that infrastructure. We may also use other service providers in the future for hosting, email delivery, security, backups, support, or other functions necessary to operate the Services. These providers may process information only as necessary to provide services to Stonewell and under appropriate obligations.
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or safety, to investigate fraud or abuse, or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
6. Data Submitted Through Our Software Products
Our software products may allow you to submit, store, or manage information on behalf of yourself or your organization. We process that information to provide, maintain, secure, and support the applicable product, in accordance with your instructions and any agreement governing your use of that product. Where you submit personal information about other individuals, you are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit it through the Services.
For account information, Stonewell generally determines the purposes for which the information is processed to operate the Services. Where a business customer uses a Stonewell product to store personal information on its behalf, Stonewell may process that information as a service provider or processor under the customer’s instructions and any applicable data-processing terms.
7. Data Retention and Security
We retain account information and user-created content while an account remains active or while needed to provide the Services. When you request verified account deletion, we aim to delete or anonymize associated information from active systems within 30 days, subject to information that must be retained for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or legitimate business records. Residual copies may remain in backups until they are overwritten according to our backup rotation.
We retain support communications and security records only for as long as reasonably necessary for support, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and the operation of the Services. We periodically review retention practices and may retain information longer where required by law or necessary for a specific legal or security matter.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Privacy Rights
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to object to certain processing, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, or request a copy of your information.
To request access, correction, or deletion of your account or personal information, contact us at info@stonewell.in. For account-support assistance, contact support@stonewell.in. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. Deleting an account may affect your ability to use the Services. We will handle requests within the period required by applicable law.
9. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If applicable law requires a higher minimum age or parental consent, that requirement applies. If you believe that a child has provided personal information, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
10. Third-Party Links
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of every website or service you use.
11. International Processing
Stonewell is based in India, and the Services may be accessed from other countries. Personal information may be processed in India or in other countries where Stonewell or its service providers operate. Those countries may have data-protection laws that differ from the laws in your country. Where required by applicable law, we will use appropriate safeguards for international transfers of personal information.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including when we launch additional Stonewell applications, introduce new features, use additional service providers, or change our data practices. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes.
